- This document outlines just some of the changes implemented in AutoMenus Pro 3.5.

- Why use AutoMenus Pro with System 8.0?

- — System 8.0 does not auto-dismiss drop down menus when the mouse pointer exits the menu.
- — System 8.0 does not auto-dismiss popup menus when the mouse pointer exits the popup menu.
- — System 8.0 does not have custom menu cursors.
- — System 8.0 does not play drawing and selection sounds.
- — System 8.0 does not provide multitasking when browsing menus.
- — System 8.0 does not automatically release a menu after a specified time duration.

- AutoMenus Pro 3.5 is now a FAT binary, so it is optimized for both PowerPC and 68K architectures.

- — Popup menus now work more naturally.
- — Menu sounds are now fully enabled for popup menus as well as well as menu bar menus.
- — Menu's won't flash when auto-dismissed anymore.
- — Menus won't stay hilited after an auto-dismiss.
- — Auto termination time now resets with mouse movement.
- — Inadvertant menu selection is impossible by quickly moving the cursor out of a menu's rectangle.
- — Should exit more gracefully under startup errors.
- — Fixed "double wammy" problem with System 8.0.
- — Menu multitasking for background applications when browsing menus.
- —Completely redesigned Control Panel.
- — Major improvement in overall compatibility and stability.
- —Now a FAT binary, so only one file is necessary (vice one for 68K and one for PPC).

- —AutoMenus Pro 3.51 can now run on non-color older Macs like the MacPlus.
- —All settings are now maintained in a preference file in the preferences folder.

- —Fixed bug where a warning dialog about sound resources not being copied at startup would appear.
